This collective publication is the result of an immersion semester during which we got to know different cultural actors in the city of Palermo. Based on these encounters and our field research, we organised a joint public exhibition. My project dealt with three sites on the outskirts of the city, which were activated during the Manifesta Biennale in 2018. Through photographs and texts, I showed the political and economic logics resulting from the geographical and social peripheralisation of these places. This immersion semester also resulted in a seminar paper in which I further developed questions of periphery.
